When I first came to New Way, I taught all subject areas but later came to love teaching science. Science is all around us; it is relevant to students and each student knows something about science, whether a little or a lot. Students sometimes struggle with reading and writing, but science is hands on and “real world” so it makes sense. They have fun while learning science! buchanan@newwayacademy.org

I came to New Way twenty years ago to learn about dyslexia and children with learning differences. What I found was a warm inviting school where children finally relax and feel the tremendous power of success.
