New Way Academy Admissions Process

Please read our general admissions page before continuing. To ensure that New Way Academy is the appropriate fit for each student, the admissions process consists of multiple steps:

Step 1: Initial Meeting and Tour

• Parents make an appointment with the Director of Admissions for an initial meeting and tour of New Way Academy. Sign up for a tour.

• Parents submit completed application materials including an enrollment application, teacher recommendation, release of information form for school records, and $100 nonrefundable application fee. In addition, school records and copies of current evaluations (medical, psycho-educational, speech-language, and occupational therapy) are required before a student is considered for admission. Apply online.

Step 2: Enrollment Application Review

The Admissions Committee reviews all required application materials to determine if it is appropriate for the student to proceed with the admissions process. The Director of Admissions notifies the parents with the recommendations of the committee.

Step 3: Interview

The prospective student and parents meet with the Head of School or the Head of Upper School (depending on grade level) to discuss the student's school history and educational needs.

Step 4: Campus Visit

The Admissions Committee recommends a student visitation in which the applicant follows a typical school day schedule. Teachers observe the student in the New Way environment and provide feedback to the Admissions Committee.

Step 5: Final Recommendations

The Admissions Committee reviews teacher observations from the applicant’s visit and makes a final recommendation. The Director of Admissions notifies the parents with the final recommendations of the committee.

Step 6: Enrollment

If accepted, contract materials are mailed to the parents of the prospective student. Once enrollment forms, contract, and fees are received by New Way Academy, admitted students are officially enrolled.
