As we walk through the forest, I see four elephants. They chew branches and eat the juicy leaves. Another nearby elephant drinks water from a small river. The elephants turn and stomp away.Our safari group sees a slim animal above a treetop. It's a giant giraffe! When the giraffe hears us, he runs away. We still see him because his neck stretches so high.As we go back toward the forest, a loud noise surprises us. A huge gorilla jumps through the leaves and stops in front of us. The gorilla stares at us. We quickly turn our wagon around and choose a different direction. The gorilla returns to the forest. We escape danger.
The sunset fades behind the mountains. The zebra blend with the tall grass. The clouds make a smoky shadow over the land. The soft light of the campfire welcomes us home.
