The New Way faculty is an impressive group of highly trained professionals. Our talented team of special education teachers and program specialists partner to boost student skills and confidence in academic and social areas. Our teachers serve not only as gifted educators but also as mentors and coaches.
New Way Academy uses a prescriptive approach for educating students with learning differences. We consider the unique needs and strengths of each student as we develop Individualized Education Plans that address learning challenges while celebrating successes.
With over one hundred computers on campus, technology tools are accessible for all students. Our computer system and wireless network provide students with sophisticated programs and communication networks that are essential to learning in the digital age. All classroom are equipped with SMARTBOARD technology for multimedia instruction.
The Annual Fund supports New Way’s current fiscal year's operating budget with funds for faculty salaries, professional development, financial assistance, building maintenance, lab and classroom materials. When you give to the Annual Fund, you can be sure your gift is helping the students right now!
Yes, but only partially. Tuition covers about 85% of the cost of educating a student at New Way. This is in line with most independent schools.
To educate our students, we depend on annual gifts from our Board of Directors, alumni, current parents and parents of alumni, grandparents of current and former students, current and former faculty and staff, and other friends of the school.
Yes! Your gift, combined with those from other alumni, family, and friends, provides substantial support for the ongoing operations of our school. Regardless of the level of the gift, it is an expression of your support and is put to immediate use to benefit our children. Every gift counts and every gift is appreciated!
Participation matters because many foundations only fund schools that can demonstrate wide support from their own alumni, parents, and administration. In addition, costs for operating a school and providing a strong academic program increase every year. To keep New Way fiscally sound, we need everyone's participation each year.
Giving to the Annual Fund each and every year is extremely important to the ongoing success of the school's programs and demonstrates a donor's commitment to the New Way Academy. We recognize this commitment with membership in our Leadership Society where a donor is listed with other donors who share the same vision for the school.
The Annual Fund starts on July 1 of each year and closes on the following June 30.
